HOUSTON, July 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Westlake Chemical Corporation (NYSE: WLK) today announced that it has named Donald M. Condon, Jr., as Senior Vice President, Corporate Planning and Business Development.
In his new position Mr. Condon will manage and develop the overall strategic planning and business development activities of the company. This will include directing merger and acquisition activities and the investigation of new business developments on a global basis. He will serve as a member of the company's executive team reporting to Mr. Albert Chao, President and CEO.
Mr. Condon is a proven executive with over 32 years of experience in the energy and petrochemical sectors. Before joining Westlake, Mr. Condon served as the Managing Director of Titan Chemicals in Malaysia where he was instrumental in developing and orchestrating their strategic growth and 2005 IPO. Prior to his assignment with Titan he worked for Dupont and Conoco in a variety of management and executive positions, including his last position as President & General Manager of Conoco Energy Ventures. Mr. Condon holds a B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin.
